Participation Rules
For the protection of all gymnasts and staff:· The entrance opens briefly for registration at the start of class.· Once closed, the door remains locked until the session ends.· This prevents unauthorised access and maintains a secure training environment.
To ensure every child’s safety:Gymnasts enter through the front door only at the class start time.At the end of the session, they are handed directly back to their responsible adult.If someone else is collecting your child, please ensure your child knows who it is.If your child is allowed to leave independently, written permission must be emailed to nelgc@nelgc.org.
For safeguarding and building security, late admission is not possible.· If the door is closed and no coach is present, gymnasts cannot enter the session.· Please do not bang on the door — loud noises can be distressing for gymnasts.This rule ensures the safety of everyone inside the building and prevents unsupervised access.
Mark the absence in the ThinkSmart app before the session begins.
Keep them at home and notify us through the ThinkSmart app.
Gymnasts must arrive fully dressed in their designated club kit.For safety:· Long hair must be tied back securely· Hair beads must be removed· All jewellery, including stud earrings, must be removed· Newly pierced ears must be fully healed before attending (no tape or plasters permitted)Parents should take away coats, umbrellas, bags and other non‑essential items at drop‑off.
There are no changing rooms.Gymnasts should bring only essential items:· Shoes· Water· Hand chalk· Required medication
If your child requires medication such as an inhaler or epi‑pen:· It must be brought to every session· Medical needs must be recorded in the ThinkSmart app· Without required medication, gymnasts cannot participate
To prevent loss or distraction:· Phones and valuables should not be brought unless essential· Any phone must remain in the gymnast’s bag· Staff cannot store personal items
For safeguarding:· Please provide two additional emergency contacts · Keep all phone numbers and details up to date in the ThinkSmart app (please check that phone numbers are recorded accurately)
For safety and to comply with stringent fire regulations, bikes, buggies and scooters cannot be brought into the building under any circumstances.They must be taken away or locked outside for the duration of the session.
