COMPETITIVE TEAMS

🏆 Competitive disciplines are overseen by High Performance Coach - Alex Pakrah and supported by qualified coaching staff.  Classes are by invitation only, based on a gymnast’s ability, attitude, and focus in training. Training follows the IGA pathway, supporting structured progression from foundational skills through to competitive performance. These squads provide a structured pathway into higher-level performance.

We maintain a maximum 1:8 coach-to-gymnast ratio, ensuring:

  • High-quality coaching

  • Individual attention

  • Safe, structured development

  • Consistent athlete support

DEVELOPMENT SQUADS (Ages 4–7)
 

 

🤸 Girls & Boys Teams

  • Thursday: 4:00–5:00pm 

  • Saturday: 12:00–1:00pm

 

A structured programme for young gymnasts showing potential and enthusiasm, focused on building strong foundations in a fun, supportive environment.

Focus:

  • Core strength, flexibility & coordination

  • Fundamental gymnastics skills

  • Confidence, focus & teamwork

 

Training: 2 sessions per week (increases with progression)
Entry: Preschool recommendation or squad trial
Progression: Recreational or competitive pathways

🏋️ MEN’S ARTISTIC GYMNASTICS (Ages 6+)
 

Strength, Skill & Competition Development Pathway

 

  • Thursday: 5:00–7:00pm 

  • Saturday: 2:00–4:00pm

Focus:

  • Strength & conditioning

  • Coordination, control & technical discipline

  • Skill development across all apparatus

  • Competition preparation & performance readiness

SENIOR GFA TEAM – Advanced Training Group

 

Training Times:

The programme focuses on:

A competitive group focusing on refining routines, execution, and competition preparation.

  • Entry Pathways:

Artistic team progression, advanced Tumbling Stars group, trial, coach selection

👕 WHAT TO WEAR & ARRIVALS

Arrival:


Please arrive on time. Doors close once registration is complete and remain closed during the session.

WHAT TO WEAR:

Competition squad gymnasts represent the club and are required to train in the correct club kit.

Gymnasts are required to:

  • Arrive wearing their club tracksuit and training leotard.

  • Wear the correct club training attire to all sessions.

  • Have long hair secured neatly away from the face, plaited where appropriate and kept above shoulder height. For safety remove all hair beads

  • Remove all jewellery (including all studs earrings), smart watches, and accessories before training.

Gymnasts must bring all equipment required for their training, including:

  • Water bottle

  • Handguards (where applicable)

  • Wrist supports or wristbands (where applicable)

  • A spare leotard

  • Personal hygiene items such as deodorant

🧑‍🏫 HOW TO JOIN

  • Please email the club stating your gymnasts current skills and competition level

  • IGA regional and national events
