Thank you for joining NELGC.

We look forward to welcoming you at the Cube. In the meantime, please have a look around our website for some information on classes, progression and some frequently asked questions.

What Should my Child Wear?

Kit - For the introductory classes please wear shorts and t-shirt or a leotard (no zips, buckles or buttons on the shorts please).  Children (This includes adults in the with parent class) are not allowed to wear any jewellery (including new stud earings), hair beads, friendship bracelets.  Long hair should be tied back.

At the start of each year gymnasts are provided with the club kit which must  be worn for all classes. Pre school with parent classes do not have a uniform provided and can wear shorts and are provided with a t-shirt when they join.

.

What if the group is the wrong standard for my child?

If we identify that your child already has a lot of skills or shows potential to train at a higher level we will move them to an alternative class.  If your child shows a lot of potential for the sport we may invite them to try out for a development squad.  We normally select children who are aged between 4 - 7 years old. These gymnasts will start on 3 hours a week and if they continue to development in the squad group the training commitment will increase.
