Results 2012
During the year, the Club has taken on two full time coaches. The Club has also mentored two volunteers through their Stage 1 gymnastics course. Two existing coaches have been assisted in completing their level 3 module 1 gymnastics training module. One volunteer has been mentored through their Level 1 pre school course. Where required coaches have completed updated safeguarding children course and achieved their certificates. A further volunteer has been recruited to assist with administrative duties two days per week.
The Club continues to offer a wide range of recreational, competitive and display gymnastics classes throughout the year. The pre-school programme has proved very popular and continues to grow. We now have increase the age range and take children from 12 months upwards into our classes.
The dance department provides squad gymnasts with dance for gymnastics classes. Classes start from three years old for dance and there are several dance classes for adults in the evenings. The second cohort of children in the dance school entered their Grade 1 exam, where they had 100% success rate. One dancer also completed her Grade 5 and passed with distinction.
As well as hosting our annual club competition, the Club entered a large number of children in external events including the London Festival of Gymnastics and external competitions.
The club has expanded the type of gymnastics classes offered and now has an Acrobatic competition groups and well as the Artistic competition program.
The Club is also used during the day time by a local schools for gymnastics and classes.
The club has opened the newly built viewing gallery which has enables parents to watch the classes and see their child’s progress. It has also been used for display and competition events.
